Chiang Mai – Elephant Ride – Bamboo Raft – Lahu village (-/L/D) |

Leave from Chiangmai after breakfast by 4x4WD to the North via Mae Rim district. |

Arrive the Elephant Camp and start experiencing the Elephant riding about 30-40 |

minutes. |

Thrill with White Water rafting along Mae Tang River, a famous river for people |
|
who love adventure, about 40 minutes. |

Then, another experience by a soft adventure bamboo rafting on a smooth river |
|
about 15 minutes. |

Enjoy a delicious Pad-Thai for lunch. |

Start about an hour trek through the jungle to the Waterfall. |

Continue about 3-4 hours trek uphill to Lahu hill tribe village at Baan Huay Kub Kap |

which is the highest village in Mae Tang area. You will be able to feel a real nature, |
|
fresh air and picturesque scenery along the way up! |

Arrive the village. Relax and prepare dinner as well as overnight at the village |
|
(Bamboo cottage, dormitory room). |
Day 2 |
Lahu village – Ahka village – Doi Mae Salong – Golden Triangle – Chiang |

After Breakfast, leaves from Huay Kub Kap to the North via Fang and Thaton to |
|
Lisu hilltribe village at Baan He-go. Lisu are a semi nomadic indigenous tribe who |
|
originally lived in Tibet. Over the past 300 years they have migrated down through |
|
China, Burma, and Laos. About 80 years ago they began to settle in the |
|
mountains of North Thailand along the border of Myanmar (Burma). |

Continue an off-road to Baan Loh Yo, a village of Akha hill tribe, a very colorful |
|
people, found in the mountains of China, Laos Myanmar (Burma) and northern |
|
Thailand. There are approximately 20,000 Akha living in Thailand’s Northern |
|
provinces of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai at the high altitudes. |

Continue to Doi Mae Salong, one of those places where the journey is more |
|
beautiful and worthwhile than the place itself. Don't miss this trip as it leads on a |
|
very good road through beautiful mountains. The splendid views on the way up are |
|
worth driving to Mae Salong. A little town was founded in the 1960s by former |
|
Kuomintang (anti-Communist) soldiers. |

Have lunch at Salima Chinese Restaurant. |

Proceed to the World-Renowned Golden Triangle where the borders of Thailand, |
|
Laos and Myanmar meet at the conjunction of the mighty Mekong River. A |
|
panoramic view of the river and the three countries can be seen at Wat Pu Kao |
|
view point. |

Leave from the Golden Triangle to Chiang Saen, the first capital of the Lanna |
|
Kingdom, situated on the bank of the Mekong River. |

Dinner and overnight at Siam Triangle Horel or similar hotel (Twin Standard). |
Day 3 |
Chiang Saen – Buffalo Village – Karen Ruammit – Chiang Rai (B/L/-) |
08h00 |
After Breakfast, leaves from the hotel to visit Wat Chedi Luang, one of the main |
|
temples in Chiang Saen city. |
08h30 |
Leave from Chiang Saen to the outside of the city to visit the buffalo village. Learn |
|
how to aliment buffaloes and cows. |
10h00 |
Proceed to Mae Chan for an experience of 4X4WD off - road to Huay Kum along |
|
hilly route viewing a fantastic view. |
11h00 |
Then continue an adventure trip to Baan Hauy Mae Sai and Karen Ruammit |
|
village. |
